Manvar
is a desert resort situated mid-way between
Jaisalmer and Jodhpur (Rajasthan, India). It
is a medieval city catapulted through a time
warp into the 21st century. There is a quiet,
unhurried grace about this desert settlement
and its people and a sense of kinship that can
be traced to Bapji, otherwise known as Gaj
Singh, who in another time would have been
maharaja.
Manvar Resort is located
right in the heart of the Great Indian Thar
Desert. It lies between the cities of
Jodhpur,Jaisalmer & Bikaner. Its an
unprecedented tourist destination offering a
rare opportunity to enjoy Rajasthan’s desert
life, culture, wildlife & beauty.

Resort is operational throughout the year.

Jodhpur via Balesar :115 kms,2 hours ( on the
main road midway between Jodhpur & Jaisalmer)

Facilities :
The Resort provides every comfort the
modern traveler could wish for; luxurious
accommodation, mouth watering cuisine & an
exclusive swimming pool. Built in the style of
a traditional desert village, the resort is
spread over 5 acres. Constructed using local
materials & techniques, the resort consists of
21 well designed stone cottages
with thatched roofs, thatched roof eateries,
open air courtyard sitouts, book & gifts shop
and a swimming pool. To add to that
there is a restaurant with Bar and during
evening Folk dances are arranged.
Safari :
We at Manvar take great pleasure in sharing
with
you three extremely magnificent safaris, each
involving numerous visually stimulating sights
and sounds to add to the excitement of your
stay with us.
Manvar Safaris offer
great outdoor adventure and a taste of the
Thar Desert. Visitors can choose between
camel and Jeep safaris.
Visitors can visit
tribal (bishnoi) villages, see desert wild
life, watch local craftsmen at work and enjoy
the beautiful sand dunes. The dunes around
Manvar are untouched & not at all
commercialized like Jaisalmer
The Manvar Desert
Camp is located
6 kms from the resort in the midst of the
wilderness surrounded by sand dunes. The camp
is excusive, consisting of 20 deluxe tents
tastefully decorated with attached bathrooms
providing running hot and cold water.
Meals are provided in the strategically
located dining tent, which offers breathtaking
views of the sunrise, sunset and the
surrounding countryside. Evenings are livened
up by campfire, mashaals and local musicians
and dancers. The
camp is
operational from October to Mid April.
